MISSION

Develop a device that can monitor live cell growth in the their natural environment, i.e. inside an incubator, fitting at least one standardized cell container.

Develop a solution that is space efficient, more affordable, easier to use and with higher screening throughput than competitors.

A design that is on brand, and keeps the brand moving forward.

METHOD

Research to understand the users, their current use situation and the difficulties they face, through interviews and observations. Analyzed using affinity diagram, compiled into user needs and system requirements.

Understanding the technical landscape of microscopy and lab automation, and the existing competitors.

Company brand analysis - present and future.

OUTCOME

A product in full-scale production, used in labs all around the world, helping scientists monitor cells with increased speed and accuracy. Can simultaneously monitor six microplates through a live camera feed from inside an incubator.

An easy-to-use system with competitive throughput and accuracy, requiring less space and costing less than competitors.

Plan and perform research, and subsequent anaylysis.
